Marshall Miller

Marshall Miller is Senior Director of Product at the Wikimedia Foundation. Marshall leads product strategy for the teams shaping how people read and edit Wikipedia across the web and mobile apps. His scope includes product management as well as product analytics, quantitative research, and design research. He also leads the Foundation’s Future Audiences work, including experiments in generative AI and social video platforms.

Since joining the Foundation in 2018, Marshall has overseen many substantial changes to the Wikipedia experience, including newcomer onboarding, machine-aided editing features, dark mode for reading, mobile apps, and AI-generated video initiatives.

Before the Foundation, Marshall was Director of Product at Civis Analytics in Chicago and Director of Analytics at Catalist in Washington, DC. His career began in data analytics for Obama for America in 2008.

Marshall graduated from Northwestern University with bachelor’s degrees in Mathematical Methods in Social Sciences and Political Science. He lives in Oakland, California, with his family.
